LET JESUS DO THE PAINTING!

I remember the night that I got saved.  It was the

happiest day of my life!   I can still remember it as

though it was yesterday.  After I was saved, Jesus

took me to his studio.  You see, he wanted to do a

painting of me.  He put me in this nice chair and

gave me this beautiful Bible.  As I began to read,

he started to paint.  After a while,  I saw him look

around the corner of the canvas and say to me

with a smile,  "Can you hear me beloved one?"

I  smiled and said,  "Oh  yes Jesus, I can hear you."

I was so happily learning the word of God from

the master.  But one day I told Jesus,  " I need to

leave the studio."  When I got outside, people were

running in all directions.  They were in such a hurry

to do whatever they wanted.  After a while, I started

to miss the love I had with Jesus, so I pushed my head

up against the studio window.  Inside I saw Jesus

wasn't painting anymore.  I looked and could see

a tear in his eye as he looked at the chair that was

empty.  As I started to stand up, I noticed something

in my hand.  It was Jesus' paint brush!  "How did

I get this?"  I wondered.  "Oh no!  What have I done?"

As I came back in the studio,  I tried to tell

Jesus how sorry I was, but before I could even

finish he had me in his arms.  Holding me, he told

me how much he loved me.  As I sat next to him,

I was able to see the picture he was painting.

I can still hear myself crying out,  "It's beautiful!"

I can see now what you are doing.  Only God could

draw like this.  You have drawn all the believers up

to now.  We were on this narrow road.  I see all  the

people you want us to share your love with and to tell

of the things you've done for them. There are so many

and the road is so long!  I see we have only a little time

left to do the work that God wants of us.  "Oh Jesus

why are we only a little ways down the road?" I turned

to look at him, and I saw a tear coming down his face.

And I remembered,  I had left the studio.  I had drawn

my own pictures and did whatever I wanted. "Oh Jesus,

I understand."  Then he wiped the tears from my eyes!

Blessed be the LORD: for he hath
shewed me his marvellous kindness...
Psalms 31:21

This then is the message which we have
heard  of him, and declare unto you, that
God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive
ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:8

If we confess our sins, he is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins, and
to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1John 1: 9

"My little children"

these things write I unto you. ...That

your faith and hope might be in God.

1John 2:1 1Peter 1:21

...That loved us, and washed us

from our sin in his own blood.
